When you wish upon a star (Urushi-taka fountain pen version)
【Byakudan】
A Fountain Pen That Grows in Beauty Over Time – Enjoy the Evolving Charm of Wajima Lacquer
“Byakudan” is crafted by meticulously layering gold and silver leaf, then applying multiple coats of clear urushi lacquer. It is a “living pen” — as time passes, the lacquer becomes increasingly transparent, gradually revealing the luminous brilliance of the gold and silver beneath. The more you use it, the deeper its character becomes. Experience the one-of-a-kind beauty that only time and use can bring.
This fountain pen is finished using a rare thick-layered lacquer technique unique to Wajima-nuri. Only a limited number of highly skilled artisans can master this advanced method. It is truly a work of art that distills the elegance and refinement of Japanese aesthetics.
A fusion of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and fine writing instruments, “Byakudan” is a pen that invites you to nurture beauty with your own hands, day by day.
【Shikkou 】
yurie style Original Wajima Lacquer Fountain Pen “Shikkou”
Supervised by Kozo Yamazaki, founder of y.ypenclub and organizer of the Kobe Pen Show, this original fountain pen was specially designed with careful attention to form and function. It is slightly shorter to fit comfortably in the hand and is intended to be used with the cap posted, providing excellent balance and a satisfying writing experience with its distinct thick barrel.
Its minimalist, cartridge-only design reflects a dedication to the pure act of writing. The base is made of ebonite, custom-crafted by Eboya, a workshop specializing in this material.
Please note: Each pen is individually handcrafted by experienced artisans. Due to this, slight variations in the placement of foil and the finish of the lacquer are to be expected. These unique details are the mark of a pen that is truly one-of-a-kind — made just for you. Enjoy the individuality and charm that can only come from handcraftsmanship.

Nishijin-ori
Nishijin weaving
When you think about raising silk from silkworms, how much time, effort, and labor does it take?
Starting with the design and dyeing the thread, a single piece of textile is completed through more than 20 steps.
Each and every step of the process is still carried out carefully by hand.
While most Nishijin-ori textiles use synthetic fibers such as polyester, we use fabrics from Konkan Shoten, a long-established Kyoto store that specializes in pure silk.
